What Do We See in the Mirror?

In fairytales Queens and commoners have looked in the mirror to find either a more wicked and ugly or a more beautiful and softer side of themselves. Others have passed through the mirror to enter another world altogether where time changes forward or backward for better or for worse! For us regular folk, we see change coming at us full throttle in the form of wrinkles, splotches, sagging and loss. Some of us go with the flow of natural aging and accept all of this change and others of us try to turn that clock back to an earlier time. What is the expression that says “it’s a good thing eyesight is one of the first things to go…otherwise we’d all go crazy seeing all the age spots, wrinkles and balding patches” or something like that. Well, let’s put on our glasses and look this one straight in the eye!

Creams and Botox can cure the wrinkles, acid peels and microderm abrasion can get rid of the spots, but what about a treatment for thinning hair? There seems to be a lot more choices and a lot of hype out there. Let’s get to the facts.

Hair follicles are a static number. We are born with a certain amount and as we grow from baby (baby fine hair) to young adult the production of hair increases and it gets thicker, curlier, straighter, blonder or darker with age. Every follicle takes a break now and then as it “rests” and then starts production all over again. Hair from these resting follicles drops out and we shed about 100 hairs per day on average. However, as we age, these follicles get tired just like us and either produce a mere shadow of their former selves or they give up completely. Unfortunately, this can even happen to us in our 30s and 40s. THIS is when we still have pretty good eyesight though…so it is not a pleasant sight! We need to find a healthy, natural hair loss treatment that can keep our youthful looks.

There is a shampoo revolution in the works. We went from washing hair only when it got uber greasy and we could spread out that “shine” with 100 brush strokes a day. Then we started washing our hair every day, with lots of suds and even lathering twice each time to have a clean, healthy scalp…but it also caused damage to the hair we did have. Next came the “suds are bad” phase. More shampoos touted a chemical free shampoo that uses only natural products to get out the grease. I still couldn’t pronounce anything much on the labels! The current trend is not to shower out (think hot water, chlorine AND shampoos) the grease, but to once again embrace it! No, not to look like a “hippy” but to apply a cream that is made of essential oils and aloe…then rinse it out and style. It is made to NOT have to be used with any conditioners, masks, oils or sprays that we’ve been using to put the life back into our hair after we’ve taken it out with shampoos.

So…now that we can keep it clean, we can hopefully keep our scalp clean too! Clogged pores or follicles can inhibit hair growth. But there is another factor that keep us from having a full head of hair. AGE. UGH! We cannot stop the aging process, but we can stop the aging of our follicles. With the latest device called a Personal Hair Therapy Laser, Nutreve has come up with the best laser hair brush on the market today. Its innovation in laser hair restoration is amazing. The smooth curved surface of the “brush”, so called as it is the size of a regular paddle brush, does not pull at your hair or hurt your scalp. Its 35 cool low level lasers (LLL) penetrate to just the depth of the hair follicle itself and stimulates the flow of blood to feed, nourish and remove waste from the follicle to allow it to produce the strongest, shiniest hair possible.

The science is behind it and it sure beats surgery, pills, messy goo on your scalp and all of the money that goes along with these “treatments”. For a one time purchases that uses rechargeable batteries and has an amazing satisfaction guarantee, there is no better male OR female hair loss treatment out there. Laser hair restoration is noninvasive and can be used on ANY hair type and for any ethnicity. With a clean head and a laser hair brush at work, you can safely check your reflection.
